Trinidad and Tobago Postal Services (TTPOST) is an independent agency of the Trinidad and Tobago government, responsible for providing innovative, competitive, quality postal services and solutions for business and consumers across the nation. Breadth and scale is what makes TTPOST successful, but it also brings with it some complexities that make it hard to really put their customers digital requirements first. TTPOST asked Quoviz to help them understand their customers’ conversion paths to identify key moments for digital content, service and sales. TTPOST needed a powerful new online presence, including a corporate marketing website, an eCommerce portal and a custom web application for easy online invoicing and secure credit card payments allowing customers to settle their delivery invoices right from home. Their ambitious brief had two key objectives, all of which their current outdated website could not perform:
TTPOST also recently expanded its offering of services to include services as an international shipping courier. With the launch of Hummingbird Express Online Shopping Service, the organization needed to position themselves as both an international courier and online shopping service. We needed to change the perspective from being more than just a local inland courier.
The Solution
We defined a scalable web platform solution using WordPress, WooCommerce and custom PHP development using a Laravel framework – initially launching the TTPOST corporate brand website then integrating the Hummingbird eCommerce and invoicing backend platform.
This incorporated a single product database with one content management system, checkout and online payment system. Postal products can be added seamlessly and pricing updated instantaneously.
The Hummingbird eCommerce system allows the easy processing of deliveries and an automated system to generate and email invoices directly to customers. With a best in class payment platform in place, we then collected data on search visibility for target keywords and created a master-plan to fill the organic results for page 1 on Google defining a broader marketing plan.
