Case study · Home textiles and eCommerce

A 1938 fabric house, now shipping curtains anywhere in Trinidad and Tobago.

Yufe's has sold curtains, bedding, towels and table linen since the Yufe brothers opened in St. James in 1938, and today from branches across Trinidad. In 2021 we replaced its old website with a full online store. Shoppers can order for delivery anywhere in Trinidad and Tobago or collect at the branch nearest them, and the store keeps selling with cart reminders and seasonal emails.

The brief

Curtains are hard to buy from a photo.

People buy curtains by width, drop, fabric and colour, and plenty want to feel them first. Yufe's needed a store where those details were easy to find, and a way to collect in person for anyone who'd rather see it before taking it home. Nine departments, from bath to events, all behind one checkout.

Catalogue

Pick a department, filter by brand and price, then choose your size.

We mapped Yufe's range into nine departments behind one menu, then built category pages with brand, price and sort filters. Products like comforters come in more than one size, each with its own price, so the page shows the range up front and updates when you choose King or Queen.

Delivery and pickup

Delivery or pickup, settled before you reach the cart.

The bar across the top of every page answers a shopper's first question. Delivery anywhere in Trinidad and Tobago costs a flat $30, or you can collect at a branch. Orders ship through TTPOST with a tracking link in the order email, and card payments run through our own PowerTranz plugin.

After launch

Leave something in the cart, and an email follows an hour later.

The store didn't stop at launch. In 2022 we added live chat, search that suggests products as you type, a wishlist in the header and cart reminders at one hour, one day and three days. Then came a 10% sign-up offer, campaigns for Christmas, Carnival and Mother's Day, and a Clearance section in 2023.
